Invisalign

Do you think only metal braces can straighten your misaligned or crooked teeth? You are wrong. With the advancements in dentistry, several effective solutions to fix crooked, misaligned, or crowded teeth are available, and Invisalign is one of them.
If you are looking for an inconspicuous way to straighten your smile, Invisalign aligners offer an appealing option.

Invisalign Aligners

Invisalign is an invisible orthodontic system that uses clear plastic aligners to correct your bite and tooth alignment. They are made of BPA-free, transparent plastic and hence do not cause any discomfort, mouth abrasions, or gum sores to the wearer like metal braces.

What Dental Conditions Can Invisalign Aligners Fix?

Invisalign aligners are a remarkable breakthrough in dental technology as it corrects bite issues and teeth misalignment without using any metal wires or bands.
The dental concerns that Invisalign aligners fix are as follows:
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Excessive gaps in teeth
  • Open Bite
  • Crooked Teeth
  • Crowded teeth
Invisalign aligners can treat only mild or moderate instances of malocclusion and spacing issues. If you have severe misalignment or bite issues, you may need a complex treatment like metal braces.

Invisalign Process

The process of getting Invisalign aligners involves the following steps:

Initial consultation
During the patient's initial consultation with the dentist, he will analyze the patient's mouth and obtain dental X-rays to evaluate the severity of the dental concerns. Once the dentist determines the patient's candidacy for the treatment, their dental impressions are taken using a 3D scan to custom-create the aligners.
Get Straightened
Once the customized aligners are ready, the patient can collect them.

Wearing and Aftercare Instructions

The patient should wear Invisalign aligners for 20 to 22 hours every day for optimal results.
However, the total time needed to fix the dental issues may vary for each patient, depending upon the severity of the malocclusion and orthodontic issues and the wearer's commitment to the dentist's suggestions.

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign clear aligners align teeth by gradually moving them into position using controlled and timed forces. For each patient, the orthodontist maps out this movement beforehand so that each set of aligners moves a few teeth at a time as per the plan. Every two weeks, the patient gets a new set of aligners that support the treatment in the right direction.
