Dentures

One of the oldest and most sought-after tooth replacement options, dentures can be used not only to replace the missing teeth but the surrounding tissues as well. Dentures are a preferable option to solve your concern when you have one or more of your teeth missing because of tooth decay, cavities, gum disease, injury, or any other reason.

Dentures

Dentures are prosthetic devices that act as an artificial replacement for missing teeth. They sit on the patient's jawbone and surrounding soft tissues and are supported and retained by the neighboring teeth. Dentures are fabricated from resin and mimic the gums, whereas the false teeth are made of ceramic that matches the natural teeth.

At Ralston Creek Dental, we offer customized dentures to restore the appearance and functionality of our patient's teeth.

Types of Dentures

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures replace one or several missing teeth if the patient has some healthy teeth intact. They are fabricated from acrylic polymers or metal alloys and include metallic extensions that engage around the supporting teeth on both sides.

Complete Dentures

When the patient's entire teeth are missing, complete dentures replace them. Since the patient has no natural teeth left, complete dentures rest on the soft tissues and underlying jawbone for support.

Overdentures

Overdentures are removable prostheses that are supported by your healthy tooth roots or dental implants. When compared to conventional dentures, overdentures offer better retention and stability.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are supported by dental implants and can be used both for partial and complete replacement of your missing teeth.

Immediate Dentures

Immediate Dentures are prepared before the extraction of the patient's remaining teeth and are inserted immediately after the teeth removal.
